Seven Cycles : 622 SLX #002

Welcome to the wonderful world of Carbon/Ti mixes. Seven threw everything they had at the 622 SLX, using the best of both their areas of expertise and creating something greater than the sum of it’s parts. Titanium lugs add strength, ride quality and just a hint of nostalgia to an otherwise space-age frame set. The carbon tubes are crafted individually to provide the right amount of flexibility and stiffness depending on where they connect. Combined, they create something completely new – a ride quality that stands separate from any Titanium or Carbon frame on the market.

So of course we had to do it right. With Zipp Firecrest 404’s holding it up and brand-new SRAM Red22 11-speed gruppo providing the drivetrain it’s a speed demon. Chris King headset (naturally), and some Wet White Ritchey WCS components to continue the white lugs outside of the double-diamond shape.

All in all, a truly great bike. Russell came to us looking to make his dreams come true, and with Seven we were able to nail them down and make them a reality. I can’t wait to see where he goes with it. Thanks for coming by Russell and enjoy!

That is the title of the Seven Cycles 2013 Brochure, and when we saw that we knew we found a winner. Custom bicycles can do a lot of things, but more than anything else, if you’re looking at a custom bike, you are looking for a better riding experience. You’ve come to a point in your life where you’ve figured out what matters, and now you’re looking for bike to fulfill that. Maybe it’s a fit issue that you can get fixed with a stock frame geometery. Maybe you need something that’ll have more than one hat on at a time. Maybe you just really want to get a bike that looks beautiful.

Whatever your reason for custom – Seven has an answer.

This is the first one to head out of our doors, and I’m not going to sugarcoat it for you, but it’s a pretty proud day in the shop. We’ve worked with this customer for some time and as it usually is with custom, we put the whole of our experience behind this bike. No compromise – everything is top notch. Dura Ace 9000 Electronic, Zipp Wheels and Kit, Fizik Saddle and tape, Vittoria Tires and of course a King Headset – from top to bottom it’s designed for the best ride possible.

Our part aside – Seven gave us an amazing frame to hang these parts on. The Di2 integration allows the wires interface with and are hidden by the frame and ports added on to the frame. The rear Seatstays and Chainstays curve elegantly down the the Ti Dropouts. The paint is just ridiculous, with clean lines that sweep across the front end of the main triangle – truly the work of an artist.

And the welds. Oh man – you’d be hard pressed to find a better Ti weld anywhere in the bicycle world. Just beautiful.

Thank you, Seven, for reaching out and letting us become a part of your family. If you’re looking to take your ride to the next level, come on in and talk with us sometime. We’ll have store display frames up soon to ogle and appreciate.

I can’t wait to see em.
